WARRANTY COVERAGE
Accusys warrants its hardware products to be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service, and purchased from Accusys or its authorized resellers during the warranty period. If a product proves to be defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, Accusys will, at its sole option,

(a) repair the product using new, remanufactured, or refurbished parts,

(b) replace the product with a product that is functionally equivalent to the original product, or

(c) refund the purchase price of the product.

A replacement product/part assumes the remaining warranty of the original product. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes customers' property and the replaced item becomes Accusys' property. When a refund is given, your product becomes Accusys' property.

Accusys doesn't warrant any products on which the serial number has been altered, defaced or removed, any products which are not sold by authorized resellers, or modified or removed or products that are damaged by service performed by anyone who is not explicitly authorized by Accusys. The warranty does not cover the product for damages due to improper installation, improper testing, improper operation, abuse, misuse, accident, neglect, alteration, corrosion, and any acts of god.

Accusys and its authorized resellers will provide its most comprehensive technical support, but are not liable for any damage to or loss of any programs, data, or other information stored on any media, or any other non-Accusys products. Customers are advised to check the disclaimer for details.
WARRATY TYPES & PERIOD

Products are considered as DOA (Dead on Arrival) during the first 30 days or 55 days from shipped, respectively for domestic or oversea customers. DOA products will be replaced one to one with new products within 3 days of receiving the returned DOA products or 5 days during out of stock by repair. After the DOA validity period, all defective products are considered as RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization).

The warranty period starts form the day when the product is shipped from Accusys. The warranty periods depend the type of the products.

  • RAID controllers, Back-plane and Daughter board: 3 years.
  • Subsystem, Battery module, LCD module, Tray assembly and BOX/PKG products: 1 year
  • Accessories and mechanical parts without warranty excepted missing, wrong parts or DOA.

For products delivered through authorized resellers, 1 month is added to the warranty period to accommodate the time for shipping and stock. Accusys also provides OEM/ODM customers extended warranty periods for specific products.

WARRANTY SERVICE FEE
Within the warranty period

Customers shall be responsible for the shipping expenses for delivering the products to Accusys for warranty service, while Accusys shall be responsible for the return shipment back to the customer after the completion of the service. If the product cannot be serviced in the country it is in, it may need to be sent to a different country or returned to the country of purchase at your expense for repair or replacement. Replaced parts will not be returned to the customer.

If customers request urgent service and delivery, Accusys may quote the cost of extra service and delivery cost, and the cost shall be paid by the customers.

If the products sent by customers are proved to be defect-free, the labor cost of testing has to be paid by customers.

Beyond the warranty period or warranty void

Customers shall be responsible for all the expenses incurred when asking for services; the expense includes parts, services, and freight. Customers shall be responsible for the delivery cost for the return of products, while Accusys may not impose any other surcharge.

Accusys will quote the cost of requested service in advance, which includes but is not limited to inspection and rework labor, and the materials. If the repair charge shall be offset with internal orders, the customer shall include the charge item in the next order.

Requests for rework to upgrade PCBA version are processed and charged as products beyond warranty period.

Accusys reserves the right to accept warranty service requests, and if the products are irreparable, Accusys shall return the products to customers.

ACCUSYS' LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE COST OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT. ACCUSYS IS NOT BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGE TO OR REPLACEMENT OF OTHER PROPERTIES CAUSED BY ANY DEFECTS IN THE PRODUCT, DAMAGES BASED UPON INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF USE OF THE PRODUCT, LOSS OF TIME, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, DOWNTIME, LOSS OF GOODWILL, FAILURE OF MAINTAINING THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF DATA, INTERFERENCE WITH BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS, OTHER COMMERCIAL LOSS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES, WHETHER INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHERWISE.

Some governments do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or exclusions or limitations on the duration of implied warranties or conditions, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by the local law.
